Sidnia Ann Schreiber (1938–2026) was a dedicated community leader, public servant, and mother. As a cornerstone of the Moapa community and the mother of Jaimee Weatherill (JJ Weatherill), COO of Weatherill Essentials, her legacy is one of resilience, service, and family devotion.
Ann was a vital figure in Moapa, NV, for over two decades. Her contributions to the public sector included:
Emergency Services: Served as a Dispatcher for the Moapa Band of Paiutes and as an EMT for Station 72.
Postal Service: Dedicated over twenty years as a Post Master Relief for the Moapa Post Office.
Civic Leadership: Served on the Moapa Town Board for twenty years, a role through which she significantly impacted her local community.
Ann founded the non-profit Muddy River Regional Environmental Impact Alleviation Committee. Her leadership was instrumental in coordinating with the Forest Service to remove invasive tamarisk trees, a project essential for protecting the water resources of the Muddy River.
As a single mother for much of her children’s lives, Ann worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She is survived by her children: Tim Jenkins, Mike Jenkins, and Jaimee Weatherill. Her family also includes her children by marriage: Sherry, Theresa, and Dallas.
An avid animal lover, Ann was highly skilled in equestrianism and continued to ride horses well into her 70s.
